The theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis includes a critique of resources which were used. The history of athletics is summarized, the selected athletic disciplines (which are more analysed in the practical part), as well as movement skills (dexterity-coordination, strength, speed and endurance) are characterized. Older school age is defined including mental, motor and social features. This part also describes the sports equipment of primary schools. The research part focuses on selected urban and rural schools in Louny district. It analyses its basic equipment suitable for athletics. It also processes the measured data obtained in particular schools and offers descriptive statistics. The achievements of boys and girls are analysed and compared. The chosen research tool was the measurement of individual athletic disciplines: 60 m run, long jump, high jump and 1000 m run. The thesis also suggests how to use the obtained data in teaching practice.
Possibilities of physiotherapy of muscular imbalances in recreational runners
HAVLOVÁ, Eliška
The thesis deals with an issue of muscle imbalances of recreational runners and possibility of influencing them by physiotherapy. The theoretical part describes muscle imbalances, their consequences and the most common types of muscle imbalances. There are mentioned muscle chains and their functional connections as well as the deep stabilization system (DSS). The thesis describes both the anatomy of the muscles that make up DSS and its physiological and pathological function. The thesis continues by describing running techniques, running equipment, footwear or running injuries, and there is a chapter on the relationship between functional muscle imbalances and running. There are presented suitable physiotherapeutic methods and procedures at the end of the theoretical part. The goals of the thesis include the description of the most common muscle imbalances of recreational runners and a compilation of suitable compensatory exercise units for recreational runners. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis is processed in the form of qualitative research, which consists of case studies. The research group consists of four recreational runners, two women and two men. These recreational runners run regularly. They run twice a week for one year at least. The research lasted 3 months. At the beginning of the research was provided an initial examination, including an anamnesis and kinesiological analysis. Therapy was based on the initial examination which included compensatory exercises and some manual treatments. Final kinesiological analysis and an overall evaluation of the therapy were performed after three months. During the final examination were recorded changes of the musculoskeletal system and postures of all probands. The results have shown better DSS activity, stabilization of key joints and it also affected some shortened muscle groups. The thesis includes examples of muscle imbalances of recreational runners and its physiotherapy. To the public as well as to professionals it can serve as a source of information about running and its connections with the musculoskeletal system.

Jan Bláha Field of study: B7401 Physical Education Department: Department of Sports studies Supervisor: PhDr. Petr Bahenský, Ph.D. The year of presentation: 2022 Abstract: This diploma thesis deals with the analyses of performance development of Czechoslovakian runners on the course of 3000 meters steeplechase between years 1945 and 1992, and then Czech runners from 1993 until the present times (2021). The aim of this graduation thesis is to discover how the performance has evolved throughout the years and when we can observe its most significant increase. In the analytic part of the thesis the basic characteristics of 3000 meters steeplechase were described and examined with regards to the historic roots of this discipline, interpretation of valid rules, somatic and physiological preconditions of runners, stages of sports preparation, development of sports training and suitability and influence of high-altitude preparation within 3000 meters steeplechase training. The synthetic part contains charts and graphs that were obtained through data analysis from historic athletic charts and yearbooks.
The History of Physical Education and Sport in Křemže basin
FUČÍK, Jan
This diploma thesis is concerned with the history of physical education and sport in the Křemežská kotlina. Especially about the development of individual sports associations and the course of their activities from the beginning to the present. This thesis is divided into periods in accordance with important milestones in the development of our country's history. This thesis deals with all branches of sport in the Křemežská kotlina. In the first and second parts, sections are chronologically arranged into individual periods according to their creation date. In the third and fourth parts rank the individual sectors according to their popularity in the given area. The first part describes the beginning of organized sports activities in the Křemežská kotlina from preserved materials and is dated to the end of the First World War. The second part concerns the interwar years, between the First and Second World Wars. The third part begins with the end of the Second World War and concludes with the revolutionary year of 1989. The last fourth part concerns the latest sport history from 1989 to the present. The oldest information was drawn from the preserved chronicles, archival material of individual sports clubs, literature and periodicals. The information in the third and fourth part is supplemented by interviews with witnesses about the establishment of sports clubs and some sporting events.
Analysis of several-year preparation of endurance runner
ŠTEFAN, Rostislav
The aim of our bachelor thesis is to analyze multi-year annual cycles of endurance runner at the level of the best Czech runners. Specifically, we analyzed the competitor's diaries from the 2012/2013 season to the 2016/2017 season. Based on the evaluation of the training diaries and the results of the competitor, we had a task to identify the causes of the performance improvement and then find possible reserves in the training, we also had to suggest changes in the training plan leading to an increase of performance. To evaluate the data we used content analysis. We also used the comparative method for data processing. In the analytical part, we were examining individual training indicators and performance curves of the athlete. The most important endpoints were the training indicators, the runner's resulting times, and the VO2max values, which increased from a baseline of 65 ml?min-1?kg-1 to a maximum value of 85 ml?min-1?kg-1. In most cases, our results show an increase in performance associated with an increase in training load during tracking.
Analysis of the age structure in the women's middle a long distance tracks from 1945 to the present in the Czech Republic
MALÝ, Filip
This bachelor's thesis deals with the study of the age structure of female runners of middle and long distance tracks in the Czech Republic from the year 1945 up to 2017. This work is based on content analysis, the evaluation of acquired data, along with the usage of historical methods. The aim of this thesis was to ascertain how did the age of female runners of middle and long distances develop during the course of the studied time period. The analytic part consists of the research and description of the characteristics of middle and long distance runs, as well as their history and the development of running schools. Furthermore, it contains the examination of biological age, diversity in sports load in women, basic movement abilities, preparation and training at different ages, including the presentation of the lives and greatest accomplishments of the most significant Czech female runners. The synthetic part displays graphs and charts that were obtained from the analysis of data in yearbooks regarding athletics. The graphs illustrate the development of the age curve in the selected disciplines in regard to the set of female runners of middle and long distance tracks. They not only indicate that the the age curve reached a higher merit for longer tracks than shorter distances, but also particularly show the type of disciplines in which the age curve was the most consistent or contrariwise, the most erratic. These graphs show us the approximate age of peak performance in individual disciplines, especially in those where the age curve was the most steady. Age of peak performance of female runners in individual disciplines is also calculated in the tables. Lastly, it is also possible to conclude that in some of the disciplines, the age limit at which the best results had been achieved from the times following the war up until the present rarely differs at all.
Success runs in series of Bernoulli trials
Mach, Tibor ; Anděl, Jiří (advisor) ; Dvořák, Marek (referee)
This work is focused on selected probability characteristics of runs in a sequence of Bernoulli trials and on some randomness tests based on these runs. Based on Markov chains, an explicit formula is derived for the probability that the first success run of a lenght $k$ in a sequence of independent Bernoulli trials occurs in the $n$-th trial and other formulas for this probability are mentioned. Furthermore, approximations of the exact value of this probability (particularly the Feller approximation), bounds of these approximations, and their numeric relations are examined. Lastly, a test of randomness based on the lenght of the longest run in a sequence of $n$ Bernoulli trials and a test based on the total amount of runs are derived.
